The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has announced the date for launching of its iconic book, “50 Drivers of Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy”. In an official statement, the association said the book will be launched on December 4, 2025, at Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
The book celebrates individuals and institutions whose visionary leadership, innovation and commitment have significantly shaped the growth and transformation of the nation’s maritime sector.
A statement by the President of MARAN, Godfrey Bivbere, said the book highlights the achievements of key industry players, as well as serves as a reference material for scholars, investors, and policymakers seeking insight into Nigeria’s maritime evolution and its future direction.
“This indispensable volume educates industry professionals on the opportunities, spotlighting the dedicated individuals and organizations whose contributions are shaping a future where Nigeria’s maritime resources are responsibly leveraged for unprecedented economic prosperity and national development.”
“With the book, you can discover how the blue economy sector’s past is paving way for a promising future,” he said.
The book launch is set to attract top government officials, regulators, ship owners, freight forwarders, terminal operators, and other industry stakeholders who have eagerly awaited the launch of the compendium.
According to the MARAN President, arrangements are on top gear to make the event a befitting celebration of excellence and one of the most significant gatherings of maritime minds in recent years.
